Igor Silva

Igor Silva is one of the top players in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu‘s heavyweight division. A black belt under Muzio de Angelis, Igor Silva also trains with Julio Cesar at the GF Team HQ. Igor is mostly known for his use of the closed guard, being regarded as one of the most dangerous closed guards in BJJ which has helped Silva win important tournaments such as the Mundials (World Championship), European Open, the Brazilian Nationals and the Rio Open.

Italo Lins

Italo Lins is one of the top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu fighters in the world. A black belt graduated by Master Julio Cesar (leader of the Grappling Fight Team), Lins is part of a very talented generation of fighters from the GFT camp of which Vinicius Marinho, Igor Silva, Rodolfo Vieira and Jake Mackenzie are a part of.

Denilson Pimenta

Denilson Pimenta is one of the top competitors in Jiu Jitsu’s featherweight division (Peso Pena). The Grappling Fight Team (GFTeam) standout has been on the top brackets of most tournaments he competes in for the last few years, this is a result of working with some of the best fighters in the world, such as Rodolfo Vieira, Theodoro Canal and many others.

Theodoro Canal

Theodoro Canal is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu coach who was considered one of the world’s top competitors in the featherweight division. A black belt under Julio Cesar from Grappling Fight Team (GFT), Theodoro has won some of the world’s top competitions, such as the World Cup, Brazilian National Cup, Pan American and Rio Open.

Ricardo De La Riva

Ricardo De La Riva is a legendary Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt from the late Carlson Gracie‘s lineage, being one of the most creative guard players to have ever competed in BJJ. Ricardo De La Riva revolutionized jiu jitsu’s guard game with the creation of the (now) famous “De La Riva guard” (originally called “guarda pudim”), Ricardo De La Riva also become an accomplished grappling instructor with several important black belts under his tutelage such as Rodrigo and Rogerio Nogueira, Walter “Broca”, Helvecio Penna and many others.

Ricardo Evangelista

Ricardo Evangelista is a top Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under master Julio Cesar from the Grappling Fight Team (GFT) and one of the best super heavyweights in BJJ having won several important tournaments at the top level such as the Brazilian Nationals and the Rio Open.

Rodolfo Vieira

Rodolfo Vieira is one of the top competitors in Jiu Jitsu‘s pesado weight division. A black belt under the illustrious Master Julio Cesar and fighting out of GF Team (Grappling Fight Team) in Rio de Janeiro, Rodolfo Vieira became an overnight sensation in 2009 after he won the World Pro Cup North Brazilian trials as a brown belt, being immediately labelled “The Black Belt Hunter” by BJJ’s media. Since then, Rodolfo Vieira has been awarded his black belt becoming the number 1 fighter in the world in 2011 after he won his weight division and the open weight division at both the Pan American and the World Jiu Jitsu Championship.

Bruno Malfacine

Bruno Malfacine is a jiu jitsu black belt under Vinicius Amaral who is widely regarded as the best rooster weight in the history of the sport, having surpassed the world championships gold medal record established by Omar Salum in 2000. Malfacine started his career in GFTeam, but moved to Alliance where he became one of the star figures of the academy.

Julio Cesar Pereira (GFTeam)

Mestre Julio Cesar Pereira is a highly regarded BJJ instructor and a 6 grau black belt (6th dan), a former main men at the famous Gama Filho Jiu Jitsu academy and a founder of the GFTeam (Grapple Fight Team) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Today he is still seen as one of the main figures of Jiu Jitsu in Rio.
